The Mandalorian: Chapter 7: The Reckoning: Review

The Mandalorian gets back to the business at hand, and surprisingly takes a darker turn as well.

The story line was arbuably the best. The turn in tone also was great, and the long awaited introduction to Moff Gideon finally happened. The ending where The Client was killed by Death Troopers, The Mandalorian, Cara Dune, Greef Karga getting surounded by the Storm Troopers, and Kuill getting killed while protecting Baby Yoda stunned me.

The musical score and cinematography were great as well. While the episode had only one action scene, it was very well shot, and the visuals on it were great.

Carl Weathers' performance was a standout also. While brief, Werner Herzog and Giancarlo Esposito's performances were great as well. Gina Carano gave another great performance in this episode as well.

Overall, while it has only one action scene, Chapter 7 of the Mandalorian gets back to its main story line and delivers on the cinematography, terrific direction, dark tone that works, visual effects, arrival of Moff Gideon, jaw dropping ending, excellent visual effects, and strong performances from its cast.

Out of a 10 I would give it...

9.1 out of 10
