The JSA confronts ISA Unlimited, while the Prince of Darkness is unleashed.
The scene with Cindy kidnapping Mike was hilarious. I loved Mike's one liners, and Trae Romano's facial expressions were perfect. So come to find out, Cindy did not even want Mike to join the ISA Unlimited, she just wanted to use him as bait. That makes a lot more sense.
Yolanda being confronted by Isaac Bowin was a weird interaction. Max Frantz gave a very creepy performance, and it was very different seeing this interaction.
Beth trying to ask her dad to reconcile with her mother was a very sad scene. The dad really does not care about her very much, and really does not want to talk about their divorce. Anjelika Washington gave another excellent performance, and I really liked the scene where she was siting down, and she was uncomfortable at a picture of Icicle looking at her.
Yolanda being confronted by Artemis Crock was a great interaction. I love the fact that they have been rivals since the 7th grade, and that Artemis was always jealous of her perfect family (Not knowing that Beth's parents are getting a divorce). Stella Smith knocked it out of the park with her performance.
Courtney, Pat, and Cameron's interactions in the paint room made me feel so bad for Cameron. He has no idea what is going on, and he is bothered by the fact that something happens to people he is very close to. I really hope that he and Courtney continue to develop a relationship together.
Artemis and Isaac ambushing Pat in the shop was surprisingly funny, and unexpectedly brutal. I don't if Pat took a worse beating from them, or from Sportsmaster. I got really upset though when they destroyed S.T.R.I.P.E.
Cindy calling Courtney and telling her to meet them in the cafeteria was an interesting scene. I love the rivalry between them. The icing on the cake though was when Barbara told Courtney to kick Cindy's @$$.
Barbara calling the Shade using the card he left her was an interesting scene. I loved how the Shade was uninterested in helping Courtney and her team, until he learned that Cindy has the Eclipso diamond. Jonathan Cake continues to be a scene stealer.
The battle between the JSA and the ISA Unlimited was easily the best fight scene in the show. The choreography was outstanding, and the fight between Artemis and Hourman was a fight that I did not know that I needed. The fight had some hilarious scenes as well.
As Cindy was about to use Eclipso on the JSA, the Shade arrived and told Cindy to hand over the diamond, while further telling her that she does not know what she is playing with. Loved seeing the Shade just steal the scene as usual.
The true shocking moment came when the Shade was blocking Eclipso's power, and Courtney shattered the diamond, unintentionally unleashing Eclipso, and revealing his true form. The design of Eclipso was excellent, and Nick Tarabay absolutely knocked it out of the park with his performance.
Eclipso killing Isaac made my jaw drop. I expected Isaac to be a major factor going forward. As to what Eclipso did to Cindy, I will get to that later. The Shade getting badly wounded by Eclipso was shocking, but I know that he is not dead, he just needs time to rest and heal up. But he knows, he is in major trouble. I did laugh when Artemis just took off running. She is probably going to go find her parents.
Eclipso depowering the Cosmic Staff was interesting. I have a gut feeling that her getting the staff to turn back on will have something to do with the return of Starman.
The Whitmore-Dugan family meeting up at the hospital and discussing what happened was a great scene. Mike is finally going to play a major role going forward, and it should be interesting as to what he has planned.
Eclipso turning into his child form at the end was creepy. It looked like something out of A Nightmare on Elm Street, and IT.
As to what I think happened to Cindy, I now believe that when we saw the original Dr. Mid-Nite in the series premier, it was Eclipso that grabbed him and pulled him away from Pat. I believe that Cindy is now trapped with Dr. Mid-Nite in some kind of dark universe.
Going forward, I really think that the final battle will consist of the current JSA, Solomon Grundy, Sportsmaster, Tigress, Artemis, the Shade, Cindy Burman, Jakeem Thunder, Green Lantern's daughter (her name evades me right now), Starman, and Cameron Makhent Vs Eclipso. Hope I am right, cause if I am, it will be the greatest scene in the show's history.
Out of a 10 I would give it...
10 out of 10
