The Flash: Season 6 Episode 7: The Last Temptation of Barry Allen, Part 1: Review

Major Spoilers Ahead!!!

Barry faces the biggest temptation of his life, Bloodwork's offer of eternal life.

The story line involving Bloodwork torturing Barry was well written and well acted by Grant and Sendhill. I have never seen any villain torment Barry as Bloodwork did, and it reminded me of Arrow season 5, in a good way. The ending with Barry becoming Negative Flash was great, and I am very excited to see what they do with him in the next episode before the Crisis.

Once again, Bloodwork has exceeded my expectations, and was perfect for a first half of the season villain. Sendhill Ramaurthy's performance has been great, so in some ways it will be sad to see him go, but it is for the better, as he would end up like Cicada and become too annoying.

I really hope that Iris' story line is going somewhere, because other than the touching scene where she begins writing the newspaper article, it was completely useless and added nothing to the plot.

Nash Wells' quest to find the Monitor is going to backfire very badly. I truly believe that he is not going to find the Monitor down there, but the Anti-Monitor. Tom Cavanagh's acting, despite limited screen time, was really good.

Overall, tonight's episode of The Flash heavily improved on last week's episode due to its Bloodwork story line, jaw dropping ending, plenty of heart surrounding Barry, continuing to impress with the villain Bloodwork, and strong performances from Sendhill Ramaurthy and Grant Gustin.

Out of a 10 I would give it...

9.3 out of 10
